Exporting your library

The whole library as a folder tree of Markdown.

Under File, Export library …, or in the settings under Data. You pick a target folder and NoteBay writes into it.

What you get

• Folders become directories, notes become .md files.
• Attachments sit next to them as files, with relative links.
• Headings, lists, checklists, quotes, code blocks and tables come out as ordinary Markdown.

What is lost

The export is lossy, and NoteBay says so beforehand. Table column widths and the note's background colour do not travel; Markdown has neither. Content and structure survive in full.
